Happy 616 Day from Better on Draft!
The phone area code for the Grand Rapids area and local suburbs is 616. With this fun, numeric coincidence, I’ve created two lists of Grand Rapids area breweries worth checking out who also have a 616 area code for both the actual date of June 16 and beyond!
In order to be fair, both lists are in alphabetical order by brewery name. All brewery locations, hours, social media channels, and information about each brewery can be found on the Michigan Beer Map, which is an excellent app and companion for your Michigan beer adventures.
6 Mainstay Breweries of Grand Rapids
The first list is made up of 6 breweries that are true mainstays of the Grand Rapids and greater Grand Rapids area. This mainstay list was the same on our 2021 616 Day Celebration post. When “Grand Rapids” or “West Michigan” come to mind, so should these 6 breweries. They are tried and true brands that have risen to the top of the game. None of them have fallen flat. All of them are continuing to develop and add their own spin and touch within the Michigan craft beer scene.
