The warm weather months are great for ciders. The crisp, clean taste of the fruit is very refreshing on a hot day. Moonlight Meadery’s “Them Little Apples” is a really good hard Apple cider and I wouldn’t relegate it to just the summer months. This “semi-dry cider aged in Rye Whiskey barrels” is a bit more than “semi” dry to me, but it works well. It could use a touch more barrel presence. At 6.5%ABV, it has a lingering finish and a pretty full body for a cider. The barrel presence and the warmth in the finish make this one well suited for the fall, as well. Cheers!
