Burning Foot Beer Festival took place on Saturday, August 27, 2022. The weather was perfect for the “last pour” of Summer 2022. Annually held the weekend before Labor Day on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan at Pere Marquette Beach, Burning Foot continued to show growth in attendance, the number of breweries, and the high quality musical acts.

This year featured almost 100 breweries from multiple states. The majority of the breweries were from Michigan with a strong showing from West Michigan and a growing number of breweries making the drive from metro Detroit. Food options were a plenty and kept everyone full throughout the afternoon and evening. The main stage had everything from a Limp Bizkit tribute band to beach vibes with Passafire and throwback hits from Filter, Lit, and, headliner, Plain White T’s.

I’ve been singing Burning Foot’s praises since I first attended in 2019, and, again, last year in 2021. Ken attended for the first time this year and is on the record saying Burning Foot “was easily one of my favorite festivals I’ve ever attended … I feel this is a must attend festival once in your life. I can’t say more nice things about it.”

Ed Norton

Edwin "Ed" Norton was first introduced to craft beer when his designated fraternity Big Brother Vince asked him if he knew anything about the topic. Ed admitted his ignorance and the rest is history as Ed and Vince would split six-packs of craft beers each week during Ed's probationary status. Ed is now a craft beer enthusiast who is always on the lookout for a beer he has not tried when bottle shopping or drinking at breweries and bars. In addition to drinking beer, this livelong Michigan resident enjoys a bunch of hobbies that he doubts you really care about, other than drinking beer and sounding off about it.
