New Locations!-

So many places are opening up new locations, so let’s just run these down as our “#1”
Arcadia Ale & Smokehouse (Lansing)
Falling Down Beer Co (Oxford)
Griffin Claw (Rochester Hills)
Jolly Pumpkin (Royal Oak)
Motor City Brew Works (Detroit’s Avenue of Fashion)
Stormcloud Brewing Company (Second Taproom in Fremont)
Founders (Detroit)
Batch Brewing (2nd Detroit Location)

Eastern Market Brewing Co-

The talk of Detroit for the past two years or so, Eastern Market is dying for the opportunity to have a brewery within it’s confines.  Their sign is up and their brewer is itching to get back.  We’ve had the owners on our SHOW as well as the BREWER on separate episodes.  Listen to their ideas, struggles, and see the crazy ride they’ve been on attempting to open up a brewery in Detroit!

Rustic Leaf Brewing Company-

Scott and Doug at Rustic Leaf are nearing the end of their journey opening up a brewery.  We ran into them at the Michigan Summer Beer Festival and they were so excited that they will be able to participate soon in these events.  They’re inching closer to their opening in Waterford, MI. and if the beer we’ve had of theirs says anything about their capabilities, you should see awards come their direction soon!

Shipwreck Brewing Company-

An all nautical themed brewery with “freights” instead of “flights”.  Popping up in Saint Clair Shores, this will be the second brewery in the city and there is even a third coming up soon too (Jamex Brewing).  With a full food menu and opening in the month of August, this is one to check out right away!

barrel + beam-

This 10 barrel system up in Marquette is going to take the city by storm.  With four already in the city and two over in Ishpeming, this city with a huge vacation crowd during the summer and fall, are looking to get a huge jump on the game with their big system.  College town during the fall and winter, this place will be crazy all seasons and will produce great beers!

DirtBag Brewing Company-

Located on the Kal-Haven bike trail, this upcoming brewery is doing it’s best to concentrate on the environment more than anything.  Farm to table, eco-friendly, this brewery is going to attract a lot of people around.  They have a little time before they open, but the trail will allow you to get to them have a few beers, and back on the trail!

Ken

A craft beer fan since 19, used to look for your non-regular beers on frequent trips to downtown Windsor with friends, at 21 Ken basically took over an entire refrigerator with monthly visits to Merchants. With 5 years of podcasting prior, Ken decided to create the brand and show Better on Draft in the spring of 2015, and began creating his dream of a beer-centric website that wasn't too full of itself. He now runs the board and does a lot of the back office stuff while the show goes on, keeping everyone in line, and the beer flowing!

Don’t forget Todd Parker’s Little Guy brewing slated to open in Waterford. Todd has a long history of brewing in the Detroit area.
