With so much great beer made right here in Michigan, it’s not often that I get excited about a new brewery entering our market. Well, I must say that I am glad that Revolution Brewing has made its way from Illinois to Michigan. A year or so ago, I had the pleasure of tasting their flagship IPA, “Anti-Hero” and I made it a point to get more whenever the opportunity presented itself. Anti-Hero is a hop bomb. It’s an ode to a true IPA. It’s somewhat bitter and resinous, but the floral and citrus notes from the hops also show up well. If you’re not into IPA’s, you’ll hate this one. If you are, you’re bound to love it.

Another great thing about the Anti-Hero is the single hop variants. The Mosaic Hero is a great expression of a Mosaic single hop IPA. The fruit notes and florals are showcased well providing a distinctly different taste from the standard Anti-Hero. Revolution is doing good work and I’m glad to have them here in the Mitten. Cheers!
