During the Summer of 2015, I had my first Prairie BOMB! It was one of the bottles at a beer share and it was phenomenal. Prairie hadn’t yet made it to Michigan distribution, so I utilized every resource I had to get a few bottles. Shortly after, Prarie Artisan Ales made its way to Michigan and I could enjoy their beers more often. I don’t know that there is a better more consistent brewer around when it comes to Stouts.

Prairie Paradise, an Imperial Stout brewed with coconut and vanilla, is about as close to perfect as one can get. It wasn’t great straight from the fridge, but once it warmed it was amazing. The coconut and vanilla are subtle and play well off of each other with hints of chocolate in the finish. In true Prairie fashion, this is very well balanced and not lacking in punch checking in at 13%.
