I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our nations Independence Day then with a cold glass of Old Nation Brewing Company’s M-43 New England IPA.

New England style IPA’s have just recently been recognized as an official beer style. The haze is easily recognizable and you a basically getting a more flavorful IPA without all the bitterness.

The color is hazy and golden. You can immediately smell the citrus hops along with a warm wheat scent.

With the first sip it clear why New England style IPA’s are becoming so popular. You can taste the hops but they aren’t as over powering as a standard IPA. The malt balances the flavor of the hops nicely. It basically taste like they have combined a traditional Hefeweizen with an IPA and created the perfect blend. As the beer warms up, the flavor changes, making each sip original in taste. It is always full bodied, smooth, and easy to drink.

If you aren’t usually a fan of IPA style beer, I definitely recommend you try M-43 New England Style IPA. You won’t be disappointed. At 6.8% ABV and sold in 16 oz cans, one of these bad boys packs a little more punch then a standard beer. Thankfully the haze is here to stay.
