The Corner Bar & Grill is a cute little bar in Fenton, MI. I was lucky enough to visit during a Bell’s Brewery tap takeover so obviously I have to have a Bell’s right? I love me a tasty IPA so I decided to give Hopsoulution a try!

Hopsoulution has a very nice ochre tint and some light bubbles. It has a beautiful head and tons of great lacing! It’s like my grandma made me a beer doily! I’m surprised by the sweetness and fruitiness in the smell. It has a bit of a citrus tang as well.

The sweetness surprise follows all the way into the taste! It’s one of those nice beers that smells like it tastes. Some lovely citrus fruits and it’s also nice and hoppy! Wonderful! It hides it’s 8% percent nicely and the flavors blend together well. I think there is a nice depth of flavor here and the fruit and hops create a great and balanced treat.

It’s soooo close to a 9. So close. If it had a slightly less bitter aftertaste I would give it a 9 easily. This is a seriously drinkable Double IPA and if you’re an IPA fan I would say this is one that is easy to enjoy!

I love this beer. Bells’ IPA game is strong.
