Recently, I stumbled upon Guys Drinking Beer and their monthly posts highlighting TTB approved beer labels from Illinois breweries. I thought this would be a cool feature to have for Michigan breweries, so welcome to the first monthly post.
All of the beer labels featured here are available for the public to view on the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) website. You can spend your time figuring it out or you can check out our monthly highlights.
It should be noted that TTB approved labels are not guaranteed to be on shelves in the immediate future or even at all. Breweries need to have labels ready if they decide a beer is a go for packaging and distribution. There may be a multitude of reasons to release a product or not. The purpose of this post is to start a conversation about what is potentially on the horizon in the Michigan beer scene.
This month’s highlights include labels from Arvon Brewing Co, Austin Brothers Beer Co, Bell’s Brewery, ByGeorge Brewing Co, Dark Horse Brewing Co, Erratic Ale Co, Haymarket Beer Company, Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales, Lansing Brewing Company, MiddleCoast Brewing Co, North Channel Brewing Company, Odd Side Ales, Perrin Brewing Co, Salt Springs Brewery, Saugatuck Brewing Co, Short’s Brewing Company, Speciation Artisan Ales, Tapistry Brewing, and Upper Hand Brewery.
August’s featured label is from AB InBev featuring the likeness of Big Sean in an exclusive 2020 Limited Edition Budweiser.
Which label is your favorite?
Cheers!
