Hey! Have you heard the tea? There is a new Hard Tea on the market called Buzz Tea!

Buzz Tea is promising potential customers and skeptics “a more refreshing, stimulating way to get their buzz on” this summer. The banner on their website says “More Flavor. Less Sugar. High Alc.” They have three flavors of Hard Tea – Original, Half & Half, and Peach. I was unsure of which tea I should start with and review, so I took their quiz to get my answer.

The “personality type” quiz took less then a minute, which I appreciated. I wanted to see what the buzz was all about!

My results …

Thank you, Buzz Tea. I’ll take it from here with the review!

Right off the bat, I noticed that the Buzz Tea cans were huge! These bad boys clocked in at 24 oz. I’m not fluid in the Hard Tea game, but 24 oz cans are not normal in craft beer land.

The labels of all three flavors had the cheeky saying the side “OUR STORIES ARE BETTER THAN YOUR EX’S…” along with reaction emojis – heart, thumbs up, and exclamation marks – that you may see on one of the larger social media companies out there. Each can was a bright version of one of the primary colors – blue, red, or yellow.

The can encouraged drinkers to connect with them on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. They also included a QR code to scan to learn more information and a phone number to text them at.

As for the liquid inside the can, each of the flavors is 6.5% ABV, which is a solid ABV for the container this Hard Tea is in. The Original flavor tasted like sweet tea with a tinge of booze. The ABV was not that noticeable and the Hard Tea went down easy.

The other two flavors are Half & Half, a Hard Tea and Lemonade blend. This one was also sweet with a touch of lemon. The Peach flavor was lighter in the tea department than the other two flavors and had a heavy peach presence.

Buzz Tea launched on March 1, 2022 as an offering of Geloso Beverage Group. The “Find Buzz Tea” search on their website offers the most up-to-date information about where to pick up your 12 or 24 oz cans of this new-to-market Hard Tea. Overall, all the flavors of Buzz Tea were sweet and made alcoholic teas approachable for tea lovers and those looking to step out of their comfort zones at the beach, cookout, or golf course this summer!

Cheers!

Disclaimer: Shout out to the team at Ground Up for hooking us up with all three flavors of Buzz Tea to sample and review.

Ed Norton

Edwin "Ed" Norton was first introduced to craft beer when his designated fraternity Big Brother Vince asked him if he knew anything about the topic. Ed admitted his ignorance and the rest is history as Ed and Vince would split six-packs of craft beers each week during Ed's probationary status. Ed is now a craft beer enthusiast who is always on the lookout for a beer he has not tried when bottle shopping or drinking at breweries and bars. In addition to drinking beer, this livelong Michigan resident enjoys a bunch of hobbies that he doubts you really care about, other than drinking beer and sounding off about it.
