Greenwich Time Pub is an adorable little bar located on Cadillac Square in Downtown Detroit. It gives you the feeling that it’s where everybody knows your name and it’s a great place for a liquid lunch!

Since it’s nearly summertime in Michigan it’s time to have a Bell’s Oberon! It has a nice golden color and a lovely little hat of foam. It’s always interesting to me to see a nice light beer but you can’t see through it. Cloudy with a chance of delicious. This is one of my favorite smelling beers. It has a nice sweet, yeasty smell. It’s like taking a piping hot delicious loaf of homemade bread out of the oven and burying your face in it. Delightful!

The taste is light and wheat-y with that tasty yeast coming through. There are some nice citrus flavors that make this a great warm weather beer. It finishes with a bit of spiciness. I think a lot of people will enjoy the spice but I felt that it was a bit like a fuzzy caterpillar sitting on my tongue. A little too tickly for my taste.

I can definitely see why this beer is a summer institution. It has a great light, refreshing taste without being overly sweet and cloying. I’m not the biggest fan of the spice finish but I am more than happy to sit under an umbrella on the beach and grab a cold one!
